Free Online Parametric CAD (No Install, No Sign-up)

Need a bracket, a fixture plate or a gear sketch in the next ten minutes, on a laptop with nothing installed? Pick a starter part, move the sliders, export the file. Every dimension is a parameter, so a second size is one slider away.

Nothing is uploaded. All calculation happens in your browser. Rates ship with the page. Offline still works.

Sliders live in the Parameters panel inside the workspace. Export STL, 3MF, DXF or SVG from the export drawer. Open full screen ↗

How to use

  1. Pick a starter part above the workspace. It loads with sensible default dimensions in millimetres.
  2. Open the Parameters panel inside the workspace and drag the sliders. The model rebuilds as you move them.
  3. Rotate with the mouse, then export from the export drawer: STL or 3MF for printing, DXF or SVG for 2D, or copy the code for your own edits.

FAQ

Do I need to write code?

No. The five starter parts expose every dimension as a slider or checkbox. Code is there if you want it: the editor shows the JavaScript that generates the part, and you can change it directly.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Geometry is computed in your browser by the JSCAD engine. Your parameters, models and exports never leave your machine.

What can I export?

STL and 3MF for 3D printing, OBJ, AMF and X3D for other CAD tools, DXF and SVG for 2D drawings, and JSON. Exports are in millimetres.

Can I load my own design?

Yes. Drag a .js JSCAD design file or a folder onto the workspace, or paste code into the editor. The parameters panel appears automatically when the design declares getParameterDefinitions().

What is the engine?

JSCAD, an open-source parametric CAD library and web app under the MIT license. We host an unmodified build and add the starter parts and this page around it.

Why does a management consultancy host a CAD tool?

Most of our clients run factories in the Pearl River Delta. Their engineers keep asking for a quick way to sketch a fixture or a bracket without a seat of commercial CAD. This is that, free, with no account. It is not our business; it is a favour to the people we work with.
