Founder perspective
Clients ask straight out: Do you do strategy?
My answer: We do strategy landing, not strategy consulting. Clients usually know market and product better than advisors. Our job: org runs in the same direction as strategy.
Do not negate strategy — make org catch up
Understand client strategy first — then org, performance, pay. Many plants: strategy fine, HR builds scorecard first, review asks how this links to cost-control strategy — cannot answer, whole table scrapped.
Align strategy before mechanism. T0 two weeks: profit, productivity, strategic projects owned. Table is mechanism output, not starting point.
Many consultancies build on sand
Jump to mechanism, import Western templates without business/org roots — desert building. XieChunQiu roots in market–product–supply chain triangle, builds talent–mechanism–culture triangle.
Communication-sector type projects — strategy through performance and pay, revenue 6× in three years. Not one more strategy workshop — chain from goal tree to point KPI to trial and bonus linkage.
Penetration until it runs
Trial, advisor rollout, coaching handoff. Accept item by item — not PPT delivery. Landing is hard because org is hard; we take the hard segment — turn direction into monthly business numbers.
